my Keyboard doesnt have a USB plug. it has the following, i dono what they do: Sustain, MIDI OUT, MIDI IN, phones/output.

i want to record a really high-quality clip with minimal interferance. i have a 3.5mm stereo jack to 3.5mm stereo jack lead, and what i've been trying to do is run the 3.5mm jack lead from my computer microphone socket to the keyboards headphone socket (The headphone socket is a 1/4", like a guitars socket, but i have an extention jack for that) but the sound quality is always bad. i also have a guitar amp and a guitar effects pedal which can be used if required, but im mainly just wanting a direct, very good quality connection between the PC and the Keyboard.

failing that, maybe a mic? but again, it has to be pristeen, with no interfeerance etc.
