"And hold fast,All together, by the rope Which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves;" [Al-Qur'an 3:103]
the following of different religions ( Madhabs/sects/schools of thought and NOT Deen ) is based on word Taqlid,The word Madhab is not found in Glorious Quran.
This blind following is called taqlid in Shari’ah terminology. Taqlid comes from the Arabic root q-l-d. Al-Iqlidu is the camel’s nosering through which the leash is passed. Thus anyone who is doing taqlid (i.e., blindly following) is on a leash.

The Above Profound Verse 3:103 rejects this type of blind following, the Rope should be Allah's Rope,and we must not be blind followers of scholars ulemas,politicians, clergymen etc.
this rope is Allah's scripture, and not the opinions of scholars who base their so called knowledge on hadith by bukhary and co.
It is important to note here that the ability to think differentiates human beings from animals. If this freedom is taken away, human beings descend to the level of animals.
That the need for Muslims to be released from the leash, controlled by the ‘Ulema and Imams who insist on Taqlid or strict adherence to the status quo (the man-made Shari’ah), is both obvious and urgent. But how can we do this? This task is rendered even more difficult because these ‘Ulema and Imams pretend to speak in the name of Allah.
On the other hand, some imams and scholars brush aside this issue by refusing to discuss it, saying it is too controversial. Thus, they perpetuate the issue of sectarian divisions in Islam while ignoring Allah’s clear command in the Quran:
“And do not be like the Mushrikun. Those who split up their religion,
and become sects, - each sect rejoicing in that which is with itself.” (30:31,32)
“As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, you (Muhammad) have no part in them in the least.” (6:159)
The above verses clearly indicate that dividing the Ummah is a serious offense against Allah and the Prophet. It is shirk. Is it not just as serious, then, to ignore and/or perpetuate this division?
It is clear from these verses that Allah puts an extraordinary emphasis on (human) reason and intellect. Those who do not use reason are called worse than animals by Allah. The revelation from Allah is meant to be used with reason and understanding in order to enlighten our minds and hearts and not to be followed blindly:
"Those who do not use their intellect, the matter remains confused to them." (10:100)
"The blind and the seeing are not equal, nor is the darkness equal to light, nor is shadow equal to the sun’s refulgence; nor are the living equal to the dead." (35:19-22)
"Say (O Prophet!): Are those equal; those who know and those who do not know?" (39:9)
And most important of all, Allah says that even His revelations are not to be accepted blindly. The Believers (Mu’minin) according to the Qur’an, are:
"Those who, when the revelations of their Rabb (Nourisher and Sustainer) are presented to them, do not fall thereat deaf and blind." (25:73)
