Mandolin Music Book
Baby Fingers offers a unique program in New York, using sign language and music. With a combination of American Sign Language and music, We have developed a program to help build stronger communication between parents and their children all the while improving language skills and encourage the development speech. This program was developed for children with hearing and hearing parennts. However, children of all needs and abilities are welcome in our program.
Music enhances language development, spatial reasoning skills, socialization and motivation to communicate. Signature is rhythmic, as is music, and the combination provides a natural means by which to practice and interaction. Both the firm and the music helps the ability to keep pace constant, this ability has been linked to improved reading performance.
Based on considerable research, Baby Fingers is designed to promote family communication while enhancing motivation to speak, increasing IQ, improving vocabulary and literacy skills, the decreased frustration, refining motor coordination and spatial reasoning skills. Sessions are held throughout the year, we offer "Mommy & Me "sign language, Baby Music, Parties, adult ASL, and more.
Baby / Toddler ASL (also known as Mommy & Me "classes) teaches American Sign Language through songs and play with other parents and babies or young children. You can go home every week with new vocabulary and new tunes to improve communication between you and your child. If you wish to incorporate sign language into your long-term or life, simply, during this tense pre-verbal/developing, look to her as their baby or child discovers the world of language.
Creative Play & Sign Classes (aka: Drama Register) offer an opportunity for preschoolers and kindergarten (for children two to six years) to participate in a class participation, encouraging designed to meet their development stages. Through games, stories, movement to music, and dramatic play, language signs are taught to encourage free expression, improve speech and language, facilitate socialization, and further develop literacy skills.
Music focuses on baby care and parent-child bond through music. Activities include singing, movement to music, play musical theater and reading books that support visual and auditory monitoring of the baby, and language development. This course is primarily for newborns to children.
Fingers Baby Sign & Stretch: Baby (newborn-crawling) or child (walkers to age 2) is a unique class is focuses on creative learning for carers and children moving, singing, yoga and sign language. Through various modalities, parents and caregivers to have greater understanding of your baby or child's physical development is amazing, and tools to improve language and communication. Walkers will be introduced thematic units, linking yoga postures with ASL vocabulary.
Adult ASL: Our weekend and evening adult program in sign language is taught by a teacher of the Deaf of ASL. Classes are designed for teenagers (15 and older) and adults interested in beginning their study of sign language, or upgrading their skills. Private tutoring is also available.
Kids ASL: Looking for a sign language teacher for school age child and friends? Our qualified staff will teach your children, aged 5 to 18, in the comfort of your own home or school. Private lessons also available.
Guitar lessons: If you or your child is interested in learning to play the guitar or improving existing skills, Mike is willing to teach! An accomplished young musician, Mike is skilled in guitar, banjo and mandolin. In addition to these strings, Mike can teach from piano and percussion, and voice and music theory.
Family and school workshops include an "Introduction to American Sign Language," of numbers, the alphabet, to complete sentences, you can learn the basics of ASL in a fun and creative. You'll be able to sign words about your family, pets, and home, things at school, day of the week, colors, sports, and more! Learning to communicate with deaf friends, or private conversations with anyone anywhere. Join us for ASL through songs, games and interactive learning!
