What type of keyboard (piano) would be great for beginners?
Im learning how to play the piano,and was wondering what keyboard would be the best. I have one,but its small and only has about 25 keys :
so,if you could help me,that would be great!
If you are taking lessons from a qualified teacher and you tell them you are practicing on a keyboard. They will tell you the keyboard may be ok for maybe 6 months but after that you will need to get a real piano.
Regardless what the keyboard salesman tell you a keyboard will never feel or respond like a real piano. Weighted keys, touch sensitivity and electronic dampers mean nothing compared to a real mechanical piano action. You will never feel the jack slip out from under the hammer butt on a keyboard.
For the same amount of money, you can probably get a decent piano for the same amount you would spend for a state of the art keyboard.
