What instructional book for Photoshop is best for a 2D graphic artist?
As the title says, I'm a 2D character concept artist by definition but my knowledge of Photoshop CS3 and onward is rudimentary and basic. I'd like to find a book tailored to this area, or at least toward people looking to draw within Photoshop as opposed to just editing photos - which seems to be all the books I can find!
Do you have any suggestions?

Much of the book focuses on inspiration and design principles but it does get into work flow and how to use Photoshop to create characters. It assumes knowledge of Photoshop fundamentals
Also, here are a few videos by a digital artist named Bert Monroy. These are some that are "character" oriented.
It probably wouldn't hurt to check out the whole site. He does mostly photo realism from scratch but there are Photoshop technique videos that would apply. Besides it's free and you'll pick up a lot.
